Excursion Program

1st–2nd day | 16–17/12: Heraklion – Athens – Cairo – Zanzibar

Departure from Heraklion via Athens and Cairo to Zanzibar. Arrival at dawn, transfer and early check-in at Chuini Zanzibar Lodge by NEWMARK. Afternoon tour of the magnificent Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with time for a stroll and dinner.

3rd day | 12/18: Zanzibar – Nyerere National Park, Tanzania

Morning flight to Tanzania and full day safari in Nyerere National Park. Elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos and the wild nature of Africa star. Dinner and overnight at Selous Safari Lodge.

4th day | 19/12: Safari in Nyerere

Full day exploration of the park with packed lunch and afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River, for unique images at sunset.

5th day | 20/12: Tanzania – Zanzibar

Return by air to Zanzibar and stay in the Nungwi area, at the Canary Hotel & Spa. Free time and visit to Kendwa beach.

6th day | 21/12: Jozani Forest – Salaam Cave – Mtende Secret Beach

Visit Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park to meet the endemic red colobus monkeys, swim at Salaam Cave and relax at secluded Mtende Secret Beach.

7th day | 22/12: Prison Island – Nakupenda

Sea excursion to Prison Island with Aldabra giant tortoises and on to Nakupenda Sandbank for swimming, sunbathing, tropical fruits and seafood.

8th day | 23/12: Blue Lagoon – The Rock Restaurant

Bathing in the crystal clear waters of the Blue Lagoon and visiting the famous The Rock Restaurant (personal expenses).

9th day | 24/12: Zanzibar – Cairo

Flight to Cairo, visit Ibn Tulun Mosque and Gayer-Anderson Museum. Accommodation at Holiday Inn City Stars and free time for shopping at CityStars Mall.

10th day | 25/12: Cairo – Athens – Heraklion

Transfer to the airport after breakfast and return flight via Athens to Heraklion.

General Information

Departure: December 16, 2026 from Heraklion. Return: December 25, 2026.

Early Booking Price: from €3,298 per person with half board and airport taxes. Advance payment of €1,100 per person for issuing tickets. The offer is valid until economy fare seats are sold out; then the price will be adjusted.

Travel documents: A passport valid for at least 6 months after return is required. An e-visa is required for Zanzibar.

Time and Currency: Temperatures range around 25–35°C. Official currency is the Tanzanian shilling.
