Excursion program

Day 1: Heraklion – Bratislava – Vienna

Meeting at Heraklion airport and flight to Bratislava. Arrival and transfer to the center of Vienna. The afternoon is dedicated to the Christmas markets, with time for strolling the decorated streets, festive gifts and hot drinks. Transfer to the hotel. For the evening, a walk in the illuminated city and the old Greek quarter is recommended.

Day 2: Vienna

Breakfast and guided tour with a local guide. We will see the Belvedere Palace and tour the Ring Boulevard, passing the Municipal Park, the Opera House, the Museum Square, the Francis Joseph Gate, the Parliament, the Town Hall, the old Palace Theatre, the University and the Vötivkirche. Continue to the cathedral of Agios Stefanos and the historic Greek quarter. Free time on Kärtnerstrasse and in historic cafes such as Central or Landtmann. Return to the hotel and free afternoon.

Day 3: Viennese Woods – Baden

Breakfast and excursion to the Viennese Forests. Visit to the monastery of the Holy Cross, Heiligenkreuz, and then to Mägerling, where we will see the former hunting lodge of the Habsburgs. This is followed by an introduction to the spa town of Baden and a return to Vienna.

Day 4: Salzburg

Breakfast and day trip to Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace, passing through the Salzkammergut Lake District. We pass the gardens of the Mirabel Palace and the Salzach River and continue through the narrow streets of the city towards Mozart's house. Tour of the Town Hall, Cathedral and St. Peter's Abbey. Free time in the historic center. Optional cable car ride to Hohensalzburg Castle, with views of the city and the Alps. Return to Vienna in the evening. Museum entrances and optional activities are not included.

Day 5: Vienna

Breakfast and free time for personal walks, hot chocolate and traditional apfelstrudel. The Danube Tower or the historic Prater amusement park with its famous Ferris wheel are optional.

6th day: Vienna – Bratislava – Heraklion

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the capital of Slovakia. Tour of Bratislava and its castle. Free time, transfer to the airport and return flight to Heraklion.
