Mexico – From the Aztecs to the Mayans

A unique journey that combines the culture, history and exotic beauty of Mexico. From vibrant Mexico City and impressive archaeological sites, to the charming colonial atmosphere of Mérida, the heart of Yucatán, and the beaches of Playa del Carmen.

Day 1–2: Athens – Mexico City – City tour

Departure from Athens to Mexico City. Arrival the next day, transfer to the hotel and guided tour of the historic center, the Zócalo, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, Paseo de la Reforma and Chapultepec.

Day 3: Our Lady of Guadalupe & Teotihuacan Pyramids

Visit to the Square of the Three Civilizations, the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the archaeological zone of Teotihuacan. Lunch and return to the hotel.

Day 4: Frida Kahlo – Coyoacán – Xochimilco

Visit Frida Kahlo's Casa Azul, explore Coyoacán, take a Mexican food tour to a local market and visit the canals of Xochimilco.

Day 5: Mexico City – Free day

Free time to explore the city, shopping, gastronomy, museums and nightlife.

Day 6: Mexico City – Mérida

Free time and then transfer to the airport for the domestic flight to Mérida. Arrival and check-in at the hotel.

Day 7: Mérida – Uxmal – Mérida

Excursion to the ancient city of Uxmal, lunch and panoramic tour of Mérida.

Day 8: Mérida – Chichén Itzá – Playa del Carmen

Visit to Chichén Itzá, swim in cenote Selva Maya, lunch and departure to Playa del Carmen. Accommodation with all inclusive.

Day 9–10: Playa del Carmen

Free days to rest and enjoy the beaches and hotel facilities.

Return

Transfer to Cancun airport and return flight to Athens, according to the duration and date of the selected departure.
