1st Day | DEPARTURE FOR INDIA
The big moment has arrived! Today we gather at the airport, with a common destination to one of the most fascinating and contradictory places in the world, India. It is the beginning of a journey unlike any other. Here in the departure hall, we are not just travelers sharing a flight, we are fellow passengers in an experience that will bring us together. We may start as strangers, but by the end we will have shared images, tastes, laughs and moments that will never be forgotten. This trip is not just to see India, it's to feel it and hear its heart beating on its streets. And we will do this together. If you have even a little anxiety, it's completely normal. But very soon, this anxiety will turn into excitement. Because this trip will fill you with experiences that cannot be described, only experienced. Prepare the passport, smile and board the direct flight to Delhi.
2nd Day | DELHI TOUR
Today, after breakfast, we make our first stop at the Red Fort, the former residence of the Mughal emperor, which is located in the center of Delhi and now houses museums. It was built in 1648 and was the center from where all critical political decisions were made. We will delve further into the political history of this important country by visiting the Raj Ghat, the monument dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. "Mahatma" in Sanskrit means "Great Soul" . Next, we will admire yet another breathtaking masterpiece. This is Akshardham, which sums up all the grandeur, beauty and wisdom of 10,000 years of Indian civilization. The Swaminarayan Akshardham complex was built in just five years, with the blessings of Pramach Swami Maharaj and the enormous effort of 11,000 craftsmen, as well as thousands of volunteers. In fact, it holds the Guinness World Record, as the largest Hindu temple in the world, and we will stay there until the evening to enjoy the spectacular show with fountains, music and lasers. When we visit a new country, a favorite habit of ours is to go to local markets. So we go to the “moonlit market”, also known as Chandni Chowk, taking a unique ride in a traditional rickshaw, while we will also make a stop at the famous Paranthe Wali Gali to try authentic street food and the famous stuffed pies of the old city. In the afternoon, if you want, you can walk to Connaught place, one of the biggest financial, commercial and business centers in New Delhi. The offices of several companies are hosted here, as well as department stores. Before the construction of Connaught Place, the area was covered with trees, while its inhabitants were jackals and wild boars!
3rd Day | DELHI – KALAKO VILLAGE – GALTA JI TEMPLE – JAIPUR
After breakfast, we leave the capital behind and depart by road for the mythical province of Rajasthan and the Pink City, Jaipur. The route holds surprises! On the way, we make an amazing stop at the traditional village of Kalako, where we board a Juggad, a special, local open vehicle, for an authentic ride in the Indian countryside and get to know the daily life of the locals. Just before entering the city, a deeply mystical experience awaits us.. We visit the ancient Hindu temple of Galta Ji, also known as the "Monkey Temple". Built between narrow rocky hills, the temple looks like a forgotten palace, complete with holy water tanks (kund) where pilgrims bathe, and hundreds of monkeys roaming free. In the evening we reach Jaipur. The reception is royal as we will enjoy a traditional palace dinner accompanied by local Rajasthani folk dances. Tonight we spend the night in Jaipur.
4th Day | JAIPUR - AMBER FORT - CITY TOUR - OPTIONAL BOLLYWOOD CLASS - AGUVERDIC MASSAGE
Today is dedicated to the wonders of the Pink City. We start the morning with a climb to the imposing 17th century Amber Fort, a unique experience as we ride up the hill on majestic elephants (or alternatively by jeep), overlooking the breathtaking fortifications. On the way back, we stop for photos at the legendary Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) with its incredible pink facade and 953 small windows. We continue with a guided tour of the City Palace, the Maharaja's Palace which houses museums of rare weapons, carpets and royal costumes, as well as the historic Jadar Madar observatory. In the afternoon you can participate in an optional Bollywood Dance class. You will learn the basic, rhythmic movements seen in famous Indian films and, if you wish, you will be given traditional clothes and costumes to get 100% into the role. If you do not choose this activity you can have free time in the markets. In the evening, we visit the Birla Marble Temple to witness the religious Aarti ceremony, an awe-inspiring group prayer with hymns and lights. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.
5th Day | JAIPUR – RANTHABORE SAFARI DAY TRIP
Get ready for the wildest adventure of the trip! We wake up very early in the morning and depart from Jaipur for a full day excursion to the world famous Ranthambore National Park, one of the best places in the world to see wildlife. On arrival, we board open 4x4 vehicles and head deep into the jungle. Against the backdrop of a dilapidated 10th century fort standing on top of the hill, we embark on an exciting safari to spot the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger. Besides tigers, keep your eyes peeled for leopards, crocodiles, sambar deer and rare birds that live undisturbed in their natural habitat. Full of adrenaline and incredible camera shots, we make our way back to Jaipur in the afternoon. Relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
6th Day | JAIPUR – ABHANERI – FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA - COOKING CLASS
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the Pink City heading to Agra. The route is full of history. First stop Abhaneri, where we will admire Chand Baori, a staggering 1,500-year-old stepwell with 3,500 perfectly symmetrical steps that looks like a work of art. Next stop, the 'red' citadel of Fatehpur Sikri, the Mughal imperial city that was mysteriously abandoned a few years after it was built. In the afternoon we arrive in Agra and head straight to the Mehtab Bagh Gardens on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River to enjoy the most breathtaking, panoramic view of the Taj Mahal as the sun sets and the white marble changes colors. Afterwards, you can participate, optionally, in an Indian Cooking Class (Cooking Class). Instead of the classic hotel dinner, you have the opportunity to open the door of an authentic Indian home. A local family will welcome us into their kitchen to teach us the secrets of spices. You will learn to make traditional Chicken Tikka Masala, aromatic vegetable dishes and open your own Naan or Roti bread. At the end, we will all sit together at the table to enjoy the sumptuous meal we have created. Overnight in Agra.
7th Day | AGRA (TAJ MAHAL & FORTRESS) – MATHURA – DELHI
We start early in the morning with a guided tour of the world's top monument, the magnificent Taj Mahal. Built of pure white marble by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, this monument of absolute love will leave you breathless. We will walk through the gardens and admire the incredible art of pietra dura (semi-precious stones carved into the marble) up close. Next, we visit Agra Fort, a huge red sandstone citadel with double walls that housed the Mughal dynasty. At noon we make our way back to Delhi, stopping at the historic city of Mathura, the legendary birthplace of the god Krishna. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
8th Day | DELHI
Our day today begins with a visit to one of India's most elegant monuments, Humayun's Mausoleum. Built in 1570, it is particularly significant as it was the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent and was the main architectural inspiration for building the legendary Taj Mahal. We will then cross the grand boulevards of New Delhi to reach the imposing India Gate, a 42m tall monument built to honor the soldiers who lost their lives in the First World War. Nearby, we'll discover an oasis of greenery and tranquility in the bustling city, Lodi Gardens. There we will walk among beautiful trees and scattered, imposing tombs dating back to the 15th century, a place where locals love to relax away from the hustle and bustle. Our afternoon will be made even more spectacular as we visit the Qutub Minar, a unique 73m high brick minaret, which is the tallest in the world and is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A little further on, we will admire the Lotus Temple, a modern architectural marvel shaped like a half-open lotus flower and open to people of all faiths. We will end our day in the most beautiful way by visiting the Dilli Haat flea market. It is a traditional, spotless market-village, where artisans from every corner of India come to sell their unique handicrafts, silk fabrics and jewellery, giving us the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful dinner with flavors from different provinces of the country!
