Travel schedule

An organized road trip to the land of ice and lava, with group experiences, accommodation in a shelter and search for the Northern Lights. The appearance of the natural phenomenon is not guaranteed.

Day 1: 13/03/2027 — Departure to Reykjavik – Blue Lagoon

Flight to Iceland via Munich. Optional visit to the Blue Lagoon geothermal baths (€120). Transfer to the hotel in Reykjavík and night out to get to know the night life of the city.

Day 2: 14/03/2027 — Reykjavik – Whale Watching

Free time to explore the colorful houses, Hallgrímskirkja Church and Lake Tjörnin. Possibility to visit Perlan or the National Museum of Iceland. Optional whale watching from the Old Port to Faxaflói Bay (€90).

Day 3: 15/03/2027 — Optional excursion to the Snæfellsnes peninsula

Optional full-day excursion (€100), lasting up to 11 hours, with stops at Arnarstapi, Lóndrangar lava formations and Kirkjufell mountain. Alternatively, free time in Reykjavik.

Day 4: 16/03/2027 — Golden Circle – Shelter – Northern Lights Search

Visit Þingvellir, Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir geothermal area. Continue to Rjupnavellir and stay at The Hut. Group BBQ preparation and possible viewing of the Northern Lights, if conditions permit.

Day 5: 17/03/2027 — Skógafoss – Glacier – Reynisfjara

Visit the Skógafoss waterfall. Optional glacier hike with local guide, safety instructions and crampons (€120). Continue to the black beach of Reynisfjara with its basalt columns. Overnight in Vík and possible Northern Lights viewing.

Day 6: 18/03/2027 — Fjaðrárgljúfur – Jökulsárlón – Diamond Beach

Short hike to Fjaðrárgljúfur gorge. Road continuation to Jökulsárlón lagoon with icebergs and visit to Diamond Beach. Overnight in Vík.

Day 7: 19/03/2027 — Ice Cave – Seljalandsfoss – Gljúfrabúi – Reykjavík

Optional visit to an ice cave with a special 4×4 vehicle (€230). The choice of cave depends on the weather. Visit Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabúi waterfalls, with access where conditions allow. Return and overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 8: 20/03/2027 — Return flight

Transfer to the airport and return via Munich. Arrival in Athens on 21/03/2027, time 01:25. There are connecting flights for Thessaloniki and Larnaca on the morning of 03/21/2027.

What's included

Airline tickets for all flights of the selected departure, excluding the No Flight option.
Personal item and checked baggage on options with flights. Exact baggage limits need confirmation.
7 nights: 4 in Reykjavík, 1 at The Hut in Rjupnavellir and 2 at the Puffin Hotel in Vík.
Breakfast daily, except for accommodation at the lodge.
Transportation by bus or local means to carry out the program.
Air package taxes, with the exception of overnight city tax.
BBQ at the lodge.
Team leader and local friend.
Travel insurance and civil liability insurance only for departures from Greece, excluding No Flight bookings.

Optional activities.
Municipal overnight tax: €25 per person in total.
In the No Flight option: plane tickets, airport transfers and package insurances.

Useful information

Dates: Iceland Program 13–20/03/2027. Departure from Thessaloniki and Larnaca on 12/03. Return arrival in Athens, Thessaloniki and Larnaca on 21/03. The 8 days concern the main program and the 7 nights the overnight stays in Iceland.

Flights: According to the detailed table, the flights are via Munich. The introductory reference of the direct flight form does not agree with the flight schedule.

Baggage — confirmation required: The baggage policy section states one piece of luggage up to 23 kg, hand luggage up to 7 kg and personal item 40 × 30 × 20 cm. The inclusive section states baggage up to 20 kg and personal item. Both sections limit the total dimensions of checked baggage to 158cm. Final limits per leg must be confirmed prior to booking.

Accommodations: Reykjavik 13–16/03 and 19–20/03, no named hotel. The Hut at Rjupnavellir 16–17/03. Puffin Hotel in Vík 17–19/03. Accommodations may be replaced by equivalents of the same category/region.

Refuge: Group accommodation in sleeping bags, with heating, kitchen and shared toilet. The BBQ is prepared as a group. It is not mentioned if sleeping bags are provided.

Solo Traveller: Accommodation in a double room, rarely a triple room, with a person of the same sex. The special group stay at the lodge is valid for that night.

Payment: Advance payment of €800 upon confirmation and payment no later than 20 days before departure. All prices are per person.

Flight: Contact to confirm departure before purchasing independent airline tickets. Meeting with the team on day 1. No responsibility is assumed for flights booked independently by the traveler.

Optional activities: They are declared in the reservation and paid on the first day. Prices may change depending on the number of participants. Access to natural attractions and caves is subject to weather conditions.
