Travel schedule

Day 1: Athens – Rome – Siena – Florence

Meeting at the airport and flight to Rome. Depart for medieval Siena and tour the Piazza del Campo, the medieval Town Hall, the picturesque cobblestone streets, mansions and the Cathedral of the Assumption. Continuation to Florence, birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. Transfer to the hotel, check-in, free time and overnight stay.

Day 2: Florence – Guided tour

Breakfast and guided tour of Piazza San Giovanni with the Baptistry of St. John and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with Brunelleschi's dome. Continue to Piazza de la Signoria with the Fountain of Poseidon, the replica of David, Palazzo Vecchio and the Loggia. The tour continues to the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Repubblica with the Arcone Arch and historic cafes. Free time for San Lorenzo market or optional visit to Palazzo Pitti. Overnight.

Day 3: Florence – Orvieto – Rome

Breakfast and departure for medieval Orvieto, known for its cathedral with its marble and mosaic facade. Other attractions are the Pozzo di San Patrizio, the Pope's Palace, the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo and the Albornoz fortress. Free time in the old town and continue to Rome. Check in at the hotel. Optional evening tour of Via Veneto, Piazza Barberini, Cyrinal, Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum, ending in Trastevere for food or drinks. Overnight.

Day 4: Rome – Guided tour

Breakfast and guided tour of the Eternal City: Colosseum, Arch of Constantine the Great, Via Imperiale, Capitolio, Piazza Venezia with the monument to Victor Emmanuel II and the Unknown Soldier, Trevi Fountain and Piazza di Spagna. Rest of day free for walks, Palatine, Via Veneto and shopping. Overnight.

Day 5: Rome – Optional Vatican Museums – Athens

Breakfast and free time. Optional guided tour of the Vatican Museums with works of antiquity and the Renaissance, the Corridors of Candlesticks, Tapestries and Maps, Raphael's Rooms and the Sistine Chapel. Early booking and prepayment required. The visit does not take place on the departure 02/01/2027. Free time depending on the flight, transfer to the airport and return to Athens.

What is not included

Airport and hotel taxes: €275 per person.
Checkpoints: €25.
Optional visit to the Vatican Museums for departures 23, 24 and 30/12: €75 for adults, €60 for children up to 18 years old. Includes entrance fee, booking fee, headphones and guided tour by a local Greek-speaking guide.
Entrances to museums, archaeological sites and generally where required.
Everything listed as optional or recommended, including the evening tour of Rome.
Optional enhanced security: €25.

Departures and useful information

Departures: 23, 24 and 30 December 2026 and 2 January 2027, from Athens.

Internal links: From/to Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Chania, Rhodes, Corfu and Alexandroupoli with an additional charge from €140.

Residence: 2 nights in Florence and 2 in Rome, according to the program.

Vatican: Registration and prepayment are required 20 days before the visit. Otherwise, entry is not guaranteed. On the departure 02/01/2027 the visit to the Vatican is not carried out.

SuperEarly: It concerns the first 10 participations, with a non-refundable deposit of €450 per person and payment 21 days before departure.

Early Booking: It concerns the first 15 participations, with an advance payment of €450 per person, free cancellation 45 days before and payment 21 days before departure.

Children's price: For children strictly up to 12 years old in a triple room with 2 adults.

The series of tours and excursions can be changed without missing a visit. The advance deposit and written confirmation of participation imply acceptance of the terms of participation.

Travel documents — update of the form: The form asks for a new ID or valid passport and warns that old blue, worn or illegible IDs may not be accepted. A timely check of the validity and status of the documents is requested. According to the terms of the form, the office is not responsible for non-acceptance of documents or denial of boarding/entry.
