The decorated cities, the illuminated streets, the festive atmosphere, the smells of hot chocolate, cinnamon and roasted chestnuts, the lakes and the snow-capped Alps create a journey full of images, aromas and unique experiences. On this winter holiday program we travel directly to Zurich, Switzerland's largest city and one of Europe's most stylish and atmospheric cities. Starting from festively decorated Zurich, we get to know some of the most beautiful corners of the country, on a journey that combines historic cities, alpine landscapes, lakes, rivers and authentic Swiss charm.1st Day | FLIGHT TO ZURICH – FIRST MEETING WITH THE CITYMeeting at the airport and flight to Zurich. Arrival in the afternoon in the largest city of Switzerland, one of the most elegant, organized and atmospheric cities in Europe. After our arrival and baggage collection, we begin our first acquaintance with Zurich, which in the winter and festive period takes on a special glow. Illuminated streets, decorated shop windows, holiday markets and the atmosphere of the old town create a unique setting. We will move towards the historic center and the area of ​​the river Limmat, which runs through the heart of the city. We will get a first glimpse of the Old Town, the historic buildings, the river banks and the characteristic points of Zurich, such as St. Peter's Church, the Grossmünster Cathedral and the area around the lake. We will then have time for a beautiful evening stroll along the festively decorated Bahnhofstrasse, one of Europe's most famous shopping streets, with luxurious shop windows, lights and a festive atmosphere. There will be time for coffee, hot chocolate, food or a first walk in the city center. Transfer to the hotel, arrangement in the rooms. Overnight.Day 2 | LUCERN - BERNAfter our breakfast at the hotel, we depart for a wonderful excursion to two of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland: Lucerne and Bern. Today is dedicated to the authentic Swiss beauty, to winter landscapes with lakes, rivers, mountains and historic centers that look even more magical during the holiday season. Our first stop is Lucerne, one of the most romantic and photographed cities in the country. Built on the banks of the homonymous lake and surrounded by alpine landscapes. We will walk through the Old Town with its colorful facades, picturesque alleys and historic squares. We will see the famous wooden Chapel Bridge, the Town Hall, St. Peter's Church, the medieval wine market, the Franciscan and Jesuit churches, as well as the Hofkirke. There will be free time for a walk, coffee, hot chocolate or shopping in the festive town centre. Then, through a wonderful winter drive, we continue to Bern, the federal capital of Switzerland. Built on an impressive bend in the Aare River, with the Alps as a backdrop, Bern is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. Its Old Town has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our tour starts in the Bärenplatz area and continues to the Bundesplatz and the imposing Swiss Federal Parliament. We will walk through the historic streets of the city, among arcades and traditional shops. We will see the Cathedral, Käfigturm, Marktgasse and Kramgasse, with their characteristic arcades, stone buildings, historic fountains and sculptures. We will not miss the famous Astronomical Clock Tower, as well as the Nydeggbrücke area, near the famous Bear Park. After the tour is complete, there will be time to stroll around the historic center of Bern. Return to our hotel in Zurich in the afternoon.. Overnight.3rd Day | COURS – ALPINE TRAIN ROUTE – ST.MORTIZToday is dedicated to one of the most impressive experiences of the trip: the ride on the famous Alpine Train to St. Moritz. Those who wish can enjoy free time in festive Zurich, with the possibility of strolling through the center, Bahnhofstrasse and the lake shores. For those participating in the optional full-day excursion, we start in the morning heading for Chur, the oldest city in Switzerland and the starting point of our alpine experience. From there we board the traditional alpine train and start a route of unique beauty. In winter, the landscape becomes even more impressive: alpine villages, bridges, valleys, lakes, forests and mountains create a scene that looks like something taken from a holiday postcard. It is one of Europe's finest rail experiences, ideal for those who want to experience Switzerland in its most authentic, wintery and atmospheric form. Arrival in cosmopolitan St. Moritz, one of the most famous winter resorts in the world. Built at an altitude of approximately 1,580 meters, with luxury hotels, picturesque chalets, elegant boutiques and a high-end alpine atmosphere, St. Moritz fully lives up to its reputation as "top of the world". We will have free time for walking around the city, eating, coffee or shopping. We suggest you enjoy a hot chocolate in one of the famous cafes, enjoying the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon we return to Zurich by bus. Overnight.4th Day | RHINE FALLS – VASSILEIA – ZURICHAfter our breakfast at the hotel, we depart for a wonderful excursion that combines the natural beauty of Switzerland with the elegance and culture of one of the country's most important cities. Our first stop is the famous Rhine Falls, known as the Rheinfall, one of the most impressive natural sights in Switzerland and the whole of Europe. The power of the water, the imposing landscape and specially designed viewing points create a unique experience for every visitor. We will have time for a walk, photos and to enjoy this impressive natural spectacle up close. We then depart for Basel, which is located at the point known as the tri-national, near Switzerland's borders with France and Germany. Basel is one of Switzerland's most elegant and cultured cities, known for its art, architecture, history and special atmosphere. Our tour starts with a panoramic drive through the city and continues to the Old Town, one of the best preserved in Europe. We will walk along cobbled streets, among Renaissance buildings, romantic squares and historical spots that exude authentic Swiss charm. The Basel Cathedral stands out, with its twin towers and the characteristic red stone, a reference point of the city, from where we enjoy a panoramic view of the Rhine. We continue with a walk along the river bank and head towards the oldest bridge in the city, the Mittlere Brücke. Next we will see the central Marktplatz square, dominated by the impressive City Hall with its red facade and painted details. There will be free time in the festive center of Basel, for a walk, shopping, coffee or food. At the end of the tour we return to Zurich, where we will have free time in the city center. Those who wish can enjoy the festive atmosphere, stroll along the illuminated Bahnhofstrasse, shop, have a coffee or continue their stroll through the Old Town and the banks of the Limmat river. The return to the hotel will be on your own, so that everyone can make the most of their time in Zurich as they wish. Overnight.5th Day | Lichtenstein – Vaduz – St. GallenAfter our breakfast at the hotel, we depart for a special optional excursion that combines alpine landscapes, history and culture. Today takes us to the small but very charming Principality of Liechtenstein and then to St. Gallen, one of the most important cities in eastern Switzerland. Our first stop is Liechtenstein, one of the smallest states in Europe, built between Switzerland and Austria, with an impressive alpine landscape and a distinct stately appearance. We will visit Vaduz, the capital of the principality, a small but elegant city spread out at the foot of the Alps. Dominating the city is the Castle of the Princes, a symbol of Liechtenstein and the official residence of the princely family. In the center of Vaduz we will see from the outside the government buildings, the Parliament, the Cathedral of St. Florin and the beautiful pedestrian street with the small shops, museums and characteristic points of the city. There will be free time for a walk, photos, coffee or souvenir shopping. Visiting Vaduz gives us the opportunity to get to know a small but special European destination, with an alpine atmosphere, tranquility and special history. We then depart for St. Gallen, one of the most beautiful and culturally important cities in Switzerland. Known for its rich history, its historic center and its internationally renowned University, the city is one of the most important cultural centers of the country. During our tour we will see the historic Abbey, the impressive Cathedral and the famous Abbey Library, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Old Town of St. Gallen stands out for its picturesque alleys, colorful facades and characteristic wooden balconies, which give the town a special charm. During the holiday season, St. Gallen takes on an even more warm and atmospheric image, with lights, decorated shop windows and a festive mood. There will be free time for a walk in the historic center, photos, coffee or shopping. In the afternoon we return to Zurich, having experienced two different but equally charming destinations: stately Liechtenstein and cultural St. Gallen. Overnight.6th Day | ZURICH – RETURN FLIGHT
Transfer to Zurich airport for the return flight. Embark and depart for Greece, completing a beautiful journey full of alpine landscapes, historic towns, lakes, culture, festive atmosphere and unique Swiss experiences.
